Houston Raceway Park has many opportunities for Series or single Event Sponsorships that will enable an organization to promote brand awareness, provide a goodwill vehicle around other sales promotions, expose new customers to products and services, or even boost employee morale with a company-backed outing. Sponsorships come in an infinite variety of packages and will fit all budgets. Houston Raceway Park advertising can be focused on the drag strip, the speedway or a combination program with both tracks.
Friday Safe Street Night (Drag Strip) – Every Friday night, the drag strip comes to life with fans, drivers and those who want to race their own car down the world famous Houston Raceway Park quarter-mile. These events provide many racers the opportunity to test and tune their cars. More importantly, it helps curb Illegal Street racing by providing a safe, controlled environment to contest speed. This series runs from the first Friday following New Years day until the Friday just prior to Christmas.
ET Racing Series (Drag Strip) – This series features the serious local drag racers competing monthly for cash awards and series points. This series culminates in a regional race that pits 17 track teams against each other to crown a yearly champion team and racer. The underlying Summit ET Racing Series provides many incentives to bring out the local dragsters, roadsters, coupes and other full-bodied cars to the track at every race. This series runs from April through October and will consist of 10 races each season.
Event Sponsorship
Sportsman Challenge (Drag Strip) – This is a race on the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and hosts more than 500 regional and national competitors. Dragsters and Funny Cars burning either Methanol or Nitromethane scream down the quarter mile at speeds topping 250 miles per hour. Extensive advertising and strong national support make this one of the best values for Event Sponsorship at the drag races.
NHRA National Event (Drag Strip) – The NHRA National Event is the single largest race that Houston Raceway Park holds each season. Top Fuel Dragsters, Nitromethane burning Funny Cars, John Force, Courtney Force, Antron Brown, and up to 500 other national competitors face off for three days of hotly contested races down the strip at speeds exceeding 330 m.p.h. Don’t miss the heart-pounding excitement, sights, sounds and smells that bring the fan face-to-face with the pros and sportsmen that battle it out in this event. National television coverage on Fox Sports 1, local promotion and advertising helps the NHRA SpringNationals achieve the status of Crown Jewel in Houston Raceway Park’s drag racing schedule and our sponsors’ marketing plans.
Signage
VIP Tower Sign – The centerpiece of the drag strip is the three story VIP Tower Complex. The Tower contains the sophisticated timing and scoring system that calculates races to the thousandths of a second. Additionally, the Tower is home to 23 VIP Suites that provide the perfect vantage point to enjoy the explosive action of drag racing. Outside the suites and between the suite floors are located the illuminated signs that provide a constant point of reference for not only the fans in attendance, but also the television cameras that face back to the VIP Tower as each race leaves the starting line.
Scoreboard Sign – These are by far the most visible and the most announced signs at the facility. Each of the two finish line scoreboard signs designates the lane by which it is positioned. This creates a constant message for the fans to hear the sponsors name and recognize their commitment to the sport. Currently, winners are either in the Community Toyota lane or the O’Reilly Auto Parts lane.
Double-sided Grandstand Billboard – Above the grandstands on both sides of the facility are the high-visibility, double-sided billboards that can be seen from almost every location at the facility. These signs provide great exposure and a captive audience. Fans even use these sponsor signs as a locator throughout the facility. Often, directions from track personnel are given to inquiring spectators as “behind the Community Toyota sign” or “just past the O’Reilly Auto Parts sign”. These signs also receive a great deal of television exposure, ever increasing the value to the sponsor.
Guardwall Sign Package – Inside each guardwall down the drag strip from the starting line to the finish line are signs identifying many of the sponsors involved in the sport of drag racing. These colorful placements provide a vivid relief to the white background and become a focal point whenever there is a mishap on the racing surface. All eyes will focus on the disabled vehicle as well as the guardwall signs near the vehicle.
Fence Signs – Sponsors may find the best place to put their message is on the perimeter fence outside the racetrack. Houston Raceway Park provides the space for sponsors to place their pre-produced signs for all race fans to view as they drive by or wait in line to enter the facility. This is one of the most economical ways to reach the race fan.
Scoreboard Sign – This sign garners the attention of race fans checking the leader board for race leaders and lap count during the racing events. This high visibility sign provides a focal point for spectators and it receives the majority of television exposure. The scoreboard sign is located in the center of turns 3 and 4 on the north end of the Dirt Track.
Luxury Suites
VIP Dragstrip Tower Suite
The perfect place to watch the drag races in style. VIP Tower Suites are approximately sixteen feet wide and sixteen feet deep and provide seating for 20 guests to enjoy the racing action in air-conditioned comfort. Each VIP Tower Suite includes twenty tickets to every race event held at the drag strip. Equipped with a wet bar and ample cabinet space, setting up for a race night is a simple task that does not interfere with the enjoyment of the night’s racing activities. Each suite may be individually decorated to provide a great corporate identity that allows your customers, vendors or employees to feel right at home. VIP Tower Suites are a great place to hold a small meeting, entertain guests for a weekend of racing or even a corporate sponsored benefit for employees to get away from the daily grind and maintain a positive attitude at the office.
Race Day Display
Race Day Displays are available to reach potential customers and increase brand awareness by displaying your name and product(s) to over 100,000 loyal NHRA fans.
