With the growing popularity of the annual March TX2K Event, demand for another Roll Race and Drag Race event has reached a critical point and TX2K Enterprises is ready to announce the addition of a second street car themed event for the fall.  The TX2K Street Car Nationals will be held Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, TX.

“This is another incredible opportunity for our racers to participate in an elite street car event at a premier race venue”, said TX2K owner, Peter Blach.  “This event isn’t designed to take the place of TX2K, rather compliment what we already have.”

Racers and car enthusiast will once again be able to compete on the ¼ mile dragstrip as well as test their high performance street cars in the roll race competition.  The TX2K Street Car Nationals will include a Roll Race event, limited to 64 participants, and will be setup in a manner consistent with TX2K.  There will be test-n-tune and qualifying opportunities to all 64 racers and elimination brackets will include a top class (UNLIMITED – the fastest 16 cars) and a secondary class (SUPER SPORT – the 2nd fastest 16 cars).   These two classes are consistent with the main TX2K event in March.

The drag race portion of the event will be limited to 150 cars and will be open to all car makes and models.  The rules for the class will be consistent with the Street Car Class rules we have in place for the main TX2K event.  There will be 3 total classes, each with 32 cars (UNLIMITED will include top 32 cars, SUPER SPORT will include qualifiers 33-64 and the SPORT class will include qualifiers 65-96).

Event registration for the TX2K Street Car Nationals will begin in April 2019.  Also, racer registration and spectator tickets to TX2K19, March 14-17, 2019, are already available online at www.TX2K.com.
